Hotel Sorrento recommended: THE AMALFI COAST

One of the most worldwide renowned stretchs of coast, famous for its enchanting natural landscapes and surrounded by many beautiful touristic locations, such as Sorrento, Positano and Vietri. In 1997, The Amalfi coast has been elected World Heritage Site from the UNESCO. The amalfi Coast takes its name from the city of Amalfi, central pole of the coast, not only geografically but also historically, because of the fact that since the middle ages Amalfi was one of the four Maritime Republics together with Genova, Venezia and Pisa. One of the Amalfi coastÔÇÖs most interesting characteristics is that all the ÔÇťpearlsÔÇŁ that compose it, such as Sorrento, Positano, Cetara, Vietri, have all their own characteristics, traditions and typical products, but all together share the same aura of Paradise on earth.
